The Great Wall of China

They are keeping us very busy! Today we went to a jade factory on our way to the Great Wall of China! Because of traffic, it took about 4 hours to go what would normally take 1 hour and 20 minutes! Was it worth it? Absolutely! Dave loved the climb! Because we live at high altitude, us Coloradans blew past people that live at sea level! Oh the sweaty bodies and crowds!!!! Dave and I both agreed that we have never sweat like we did today, in our life!

After we got back down off of the wall, we went to a Chinese restaurant (imagine that) and the food was excellent…we did Subway for dinner!...and Starbucks after dinner!

More traffic….then we stopped by the Olympic Village and got to see the Cube as well as the Bird’s Nest where the 2008 Olympics opening ceremony was!

And if that wasn’t enough, we went to a Flying Acrobatic Show! It was amazing!

Tomorrow we check out early and fly to the next city…the capital of Henan….only a couple of days left until we meet our children! There is such anticipation…sharing of pictures, as well as adoption journeys and stories…..the anticipation is mounting….our travel group is great!

Bedtime….goodnight all! It is 9:30 pm here in China and 7:30am in Denver!
