Got Plane Tickets!

Oh my goodness!  Last night we paid for our roundtrip airfare to China and back!  We also purchased a one way plane ticket to the United States of America for Lucy Chenguo!  We leave on Sat April 5 and return Thursday April 17!  We have lots of details to take care of in the next week!  Today we also got our daily itinerary for each day we are in China!  We are experiencing lots of emotions right about now...all at the same time!

Got CA! (Consulate Appointment)

Ok!  Just got the email as soon as I got done updating our blog, that we got our consulate appointment!  It is April 15 at 8:30am!  Good thing we got our taxes done!  So tomorrow we buy plane tickets!  Enough for one day!

GOT TA!

Yesterday we got a phone call from our agency rep to let us know that our TA (travel approval or authorization, I'm not quite sure which it is) had arrived from China at our agency.  Then quickly we had to give the rep 5 dates that would work for us for our US Consulate appointment in Guangzhou.  We are expecting to find out the date of our Consulate appointment tomorrow!  It will be one of the following dates: April 15, 16, 17, 22, or 23.  Once we have our date, our trip is planned backwards from it.  We will then purchase our airline tickets.  We could be leaving as early as next Friday April 4 and at the latest, April 12!  Our agency then overnighted our TA document from China, to us, and it is one of the important documents that we take to China with us to complete the adoption.  We are amazingly close now!!!!!

Got our Article 5!

Yesterday we got an email from the US Consulate in Guangzhou saying that they had issued our Article 5 and it was ready for pick-up!  The  Chinese rep for our agency picked it up and overnighted it to the CCCWA in Beijing.  So now we wait again....but not for long...10-14 days and china will issue our TA (travel authorization).  Stay tuned....
