Okay, so here is where we are...on Feb 13th our I-800 was provisionally approved! We got that letter in the mail on Feb 18th! Then the I-800 paperwork is sent to the National Visa Center where it is entered into the computer system again! Then it is sent to Guangzhou China to the US Consulate there. Our instructions from the adoption agency were to send an inquiry via email to the NVC to ask them if our I-800 had been received and forwarded on, to China. On Friday afternoon, Feb 21, we got word back from them via email saying that they had received it and entered it into the system and forwarded it on to Guangzhou! So Friday afternoon when I was trying to get out of town for Abby's soccer tournament, I was madly filing our online DS-260. Which is Lucy Chenguo's application for a visa for her to enter the United States. So now we wait again....for the next step. Article 5, which is the last step before our TA (travel authorization!) Stay tuned....it won't be long...
Abby's team won their division in the tournament! Go Boom!
5 more days until our fundraiser ends....adopttogether.org/lucy
We are so amazed with the generosity and touched by the outpouring of well wishes!

Thank You To Our Amazing Donors!
A Great Big Thank You
To All Of Our Amazing Donors!!!!
It is with extreme gratitude and humility that we write this
letter of thanks to ALL of our generous friends and family and friends of
friends and family that have contributed monetarily to help us bring Lucy
home. We would also like to thank our
ANONYMOUS donors as well as Elizabeth Pottle, Ryan Epstein, and Elaine and Eric
Maul (whom we have not been able to find your addresses to thank you formally):
This is the first time that we have ever asked our family

went to China to adopt Eli 2- getting
an updated look for it 3- we will begin
posting the last steps we will go through before we leave 4- we will be sharing our journey to China
with you on our blog as well.

Also, we will be ending the fundraiser on February 28, 2014
to allow for time to go through the grant process to get the money out before
we travel! Adopttogether.org/lucy
If you shared our link on Facebook previously, could you
please do it again in hopes that we will be able to reach the donors listed
above as well as all of our anonymous donors.
Thank you so much!
In closing, what an experience of a lifetime! To be able to welcome a new member into our
family from China and to have such support from all of you! Truly, you have all helped to make it
possible! Thank you from the bottom of
our hearts!
Sincerely,
David & Gail & Family
